God's Law, The 10 Commandments, Show us Where We Stand in God's Sight.
Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever cursed using God’s name? Have you ever looked at another person with thoughts of lust? Have you ever treated your parents wrong?
We Are Found GUILTY!
The ten commandments were given to us for two reasons:
1. To show us the standards that God wants us to live by
2. To show us that we are sinners and cannot live up to God’s standards (This should open our eyes so we can see why we need God's forgiveness.)
The ten commandments basically condemn us before God, and make us aware that we deserve to be punished for our transgressions.
We will all stand before God when this short life is over.
There is Good news Though!
God doesn't want to condemn us to Hell. He loves us and has provided us a way to escape the judgment that IS coming.
God sent his son, Jesus, to earth. Jesus was fully God and fully man. He came to suffer and die a horrible death on a cross to take the penalty for the sins of those people who believe in him through faith, confess their sins to him and follow him.
There is no other way to escape the judgment to come. If you have not come to Jesus, repented & turned from your sins and followed Him. The bible (God's Word) says you are facing hell for eternity.
Our part is simple.
Jesus Paid the Death Penalty for Our Sins! Then He arose on the 3rd day and conquered death. He has given us a chance for Life and Hope. He promises that when this life is over those who turn to Jesus will live with him in paradise! The trials of this life will be gone.
The question, "Is Jesus Real" is by far the most important question a person can ask. It is the answer to this question that determines where we spend eternity when this short life is over.
Life brings many trials and struggles that can sometimes overwhelm us. Sometimes these struggles can even make us question our ability to continue on. We are mortal beings living in a fallen world that is suffering from the curse of sin that was brought upon it through the sin of mankind shortly after the creation of the world.
God created the perfect world and then created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden to enjoy it and care for it. Adam and Eve had the ideal situation and a chance to live life to the fullest enjoying the wondrous perfect world including the opportunity to walk and talk with God their (OUR) creator.
God only asked one thing of Adam and Eve. He asked that they don't eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil located in the middle of the Garden or they would surely die. What a wonderful world we would live in today had they listened and obeyed God. However, the serpent (Satan, Lucifer, The Prince of Liars) tempted them stating they would not surely die but would be like God. Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree.
In doing so, they (we, mankind) turned our backs on our true Father who is our loving God and creator. This act brought death and destruction upon the world and the human race. God had asked so little and offered so much, and yet at the first temptation, mankind rebelled against God. Today we all live in world that is under the curse that was brought upon it through that original sin.
After turning our backs on our loving God and creator, what more do we deserve? In reality what we deserve is the consequences of our sins (death, hardship and separation from God and God's Judgment). God is Good, Loving and Perfect, but he also hates sin. He is Just in His Judgment. There is no sin in Him. When we sinned in the Garden, we caused a separation between ourselves and God (our heavenly Father). We are born into sin and are, by default, separated from God. God will cast his final judgment on sin when Jesus returns. He tells us that there will be a place of torment called Hell for Satan and those of us who reject Him (which is our default position).
THE GOOD NEWS is God loves us so much that He has provided us with a bridge across this separation gap which renews us back into His wonderful Grace. Because of God's Love for us and the rest of His creation, He sent his only son, Jesus, who died on a cross taking the penalty of our sins if we will only believe and turn to him. Jesus took the punishment for our sins upon himself so that those who confess their sins and believe in Him will be saved. There is no other way to be saved.
All we have to do is confess to God that we are sinners and accept this free gift of pardon that Jesus has provided for our sins. Then we will be forgiven and accepted into the God's own family where we will be able to praise Him and experience the wondrous gifts he has prepared for us forever.
Our default destination is HELL because we have sinned against Almighty God. Jesus died on the cross taking the punishment of those who come to Him, but it takes action on our part to come to Jesus believing in Him, repenting of our sins and following Him. The bible tells us there is NO other way to be saved!
God says "...No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him."
Don’t blindly believe what I or anyone else tells you. We live in a world full of sin where Satan, his hordes of fallen angels and even our own fallen natures are warring against God. What is a Christian? There are multitudes of religions and beliefs that have been introduced to confuse as many as possible. Don’t be one of them. Don’t let Satan win in your life and end up being condemned to his destination. Read the bible and listen to God’s words. I recommend reading the New Testament first as it pertains to the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus and explains the gift he has given. I would read John, the 4th gospel first, and then read through the entire New Testament. Then read through the Old Testament and see how God has revealed himself throughout history.
Genesis 1:31 NIV
Is Jesus Real? My hope is built upon His name!
Genesis 2:16-17 NIV
Genesis 3:4-5 NIV
Genesis 3:17b-19 NIV
John 3:16-18 NIV
Is Jesus Real? Praise His name for what He has done!
Romans 14:10b-12 NIV
Is Jesus Real? He lived, He died and He Lives!
Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Hebrews 9:27-28 NIV
Is Jesus Real?
He is coming again to give great rewards to those who have believed and trusted in Him and to judge and condemn those who have not trusted in Him.
He has given His life for you. What greater love is there than this?
Confess your sins and ask Jesus to help you live for Him. No sin is too big for Jesus to forgive. Jesus will take you as you are.
Then read His word, the Holy Bible. I recommend that you start reading the new testament to learn about Jesus and His teachings.
Praise the wonderful name of Jesus!
Romans 10:9-10 NIV
Is Jesus Real? If you confess you are a sinner, come to Jesus trusting in Him alone asking for forgiveness and asking Him to come into your life and to help you live for Him--He will, and You Will be Saved.
Jesus took the punishment for our sins upon himself when He died on the cross so that those who confess their sins and believe in Him will be saved.
There is no other way to be saved.
John 14:6 NIV
"...Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12 NIV
Is Jesus Real? Jesus is the way and the truth and the life!
Ephesians 2:13 NIV
Is Jesus Real? Jesus is the way unto salvation!
No man is good enough on his own accord to earn or deserve heaven. We all deserve death for our sins. Jesus, God's own Son, came and died on a cross to pay for the sins of those who will believe in him. He took the punishment for my sins, and he took the punishment for your sins if you will just believe in him and ask him to come into your life and save you.
Joshua 24:15 NIV
I choose to stand with the Lord. He alone gives true peace and true hope in the things to come.
Is Jesus Real? He gives hope in our times of need!
May God Bless you and fill you with the hope of the wonderful blessings to come for those who love him.
